Christmas Lights on Calle Larios 2026

One of the most eagerly awaited moments of Christmas in Malaga is, without a doubt, the switching on of the lights on the iconic Calle Larios. Every year, thousands of people gather in the city centre to enjoy this spectacular light and music show, which marks the beginning of the festive season in Malaga.

In 2026, Malaga’s Christmas lights will be switched on on Friday, 27 November. Calle Larios will once again take centre stage, with its spectacular decorations and eagerly awaited light and sound shows.

The festive atmosphere will continue for several weeks, with the Calle Larios Christmas light show expected to run until 6 January 2027. It’s the perfect opportunity to stroll through the city centre, enjoy the lights and discover a different side of Malaga during the festive season.

The 2026 light and music show times are still awaiting official confirmation. In previous years, shows have taken place at 6:30 pm, 8:30 pm and 10:00 pm. As soon as the final programme is announced, we’ll update this guide with all the confirmed times and latest information.

Three Kings Parade in Malaga 2027

The Three Kings Parade in Malaga will bring the Christmas celebrations to a spectacular close on 5 January 2027. It is one of the most eagerly awaited events of the festive season, especially for children.

Melchior, Caspar and Balthazar will once again make their way through the streets of Malaga, accompanied by colourful floats, music and hundreds of participants. Sweets are handed out along the route, while the city centre fills once again with a wonderful festive atmosphere.

In addition to the main parade through the city centre, many neighbourhoods in Malaga usually organise their own Three Kings parades and activities in the days leading up to the main event.

🕐 Plan your visit in advance. Calle Larios attracts large crowds, especially during the light and music shows and at weekends.

👟 Wear comfortable shoes. Christmas markets, nativity scenes, lights and activities are spread across different parts of the city centre, so you’ll probably do quite a bit of walking.

📸 Explore beyond Calle Larios. Alameda Principal, Malaga Park, Soho, Muelle Uno and other streets around the city centre are also filled with festive decorations and offer plenty of beautiful spots to enjoy and photograph Christmas in Malaga.
